We use waterproof BioThane® webbing for gear that cleans easily after mud, rain, trail days, and regular use. It is practical, low-maintenance, and built for the conditions dogs actually encounter.
Hardware is selected by application—not simply appearance. Across our gear, we use solid brass, 304 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel, aluminum, and select KONG® marine bronze components based on the role of the part and intended environment.
Every product begins with a practical question: Would we trust it on our own dog? Materials, hardware, width, length, fit, and closure style are selected to serve the dog, the handler, and the work ahead.
If a Red Maple K9 Gear product fails during normal, intended use, we will replace it. The only exceptions are damage caused by dog chewing or misuse.
